Sharing Tools for Nonprofit Technology Support
"ConsultantCommons.org provides an online collaboration space and community for IT consultants who work with non-profits. The system is designed so that consultants can find, contribute and collaborate on tools and information they use to maintain a consultancy and provide services to nonprofits."
Floatleft's Contribution
The initial version of the Consultant Commons site utilized a taxonomy/category system for navigating through the extensive content on the site. This system grew to be a large and unruly list that made navigating to content difficult. CompuMentor engaged Floatleft for a solution, and we worked to define a logical information architecture, providing users with a clear, easy way to navigate and access information. We also created a fresh new logo and visual design for the site. The design includes the "dashboard" page, providing users with a snapshot of all recent activity.
