Changing our community one person at a time
"The Georgia Justice Project is an unlikely mix of lawyers, social workers and a landscaping company. GJP defends people accused of crimes and, win or lose, stands with our clients while they rebuild their lives. We believe this is the only way to break the cycle of crime and poverty."
Floatleft's Contribution
The GJP's old web site was static and difficult for the primarily non-technical staff to update, resulting in content that hadn't been updated in over two years. With the content management system that we implemented for them, they can now easily publish news articles and announcements and can stay in closer contact with funders and volunteers by allowing them to subscribe online to their newsletter. We also emphasized the placement of the 'Donate' online links and helped them move from Paypal to a more affordable, nonprofit-focused donation solution. Our ties to the GJP go way back, as Courtney Miller has been a technical volunteer with them since 1995.
Project Highlights
- easy posting of news items, volunteer opportunities and upcoming events
- online sign-up for the printed GJP Newsletter and online subscription to the e-newsletter mailing list
- online donation and bill payment (for landscape company customers)
- other site improvements include: search and RSS syndication
